Im selling my 60D soon and i was wondering what would be better to get.

Gh2 14-42mm Kit for $900

OR

Gh2 Body $900 & 14-45mm for $260

just curious cuz ive read some stuff and the 14-45mm has a metal mount and is
said to be sharper?

Thanks

as of now im going with 14-42mm kit and just sell the lens and buy the 14-45mm or another lens

Gh2 14-42mm Kit for $900
Gh2 Body $900

I don't see any benefit whatever to buying the body only. Did you mean to enter a different price?

The 14-42 might be hard to sell though. The 14-140 would be a lot easier (samy's cameras on amazon has it for $1199).

Try getting some L lenses from canon

Oh i just said that because i heard the 14-45 is nicer and has metal mount.
im selling my 60d for 850 and tamron lens for $370. I just dont know what to get.

14-140 kit for 1200

body&14-45mm for 1150

14-45 is a better lens. 14-140 is optimised for video. both are only good for daylight or planned lit shooting. if you plan to shoot more indoors, then a fast prime is the better choice or maybe check out the new pana X lenses.

Is the OIS the reason the 14-140 is optimized for video?

Get the kit with the 14-140. Lot's of people will knock the lens because it's slow f/4, but its quite a nice lens with nice build. My pop always said, "buy cheap, buy twice".

I went with the 14-42 because including the camera it was only $700. If I would have had the finances though, I would have definitely bought the 14-140.

ok thanks.

Im going to get the 14-140mm kit from B&h for $1199
once i sell my 60d-$850 and tamron 17-50mm-#370

OIS and smoother autofocus is great to have. i quite like using the kit lens. as time goes you will move onto fast primes/zooms but the kit lens will always be a nice lens to have.
