GH2 GH2 - Iris/Exposure Changes When Panning

Just got a GH2, set it all in manual, as far as i can tell...

using canon FD lenses.

when i point at a window then pan to a darker corner of a room, the image changes slightly...almost like it is auto-exposing.

i've googled a bunch and scrolled through the menu more than enough times but i'm still not sure why this is happening.

anyone experienced this? tips on what i'm missing?

Do you have ISO setting on AUTO or you fixed it to some value?
Maybe there is some kind of intelligent exposure function turned on?

Is the recorded footage showing the problem? Or just the LCD?

The GH2's LCD changes automatically by default. I'm not sure which setting changes it to stay set, but in the default settings, the brightness of the LCD will flucuate depending on surrounding conditions. Check to see if the exposure change is showing up in the recorded footage.

indeed. it was only in the LCD. the recorded footage is not affected.

i went into the menu and found the LCD setting that was on auto (A*). there are three manual options for brightness 1*, 2*, and 3*.

glad i know this now. thanks for your help!
