GH2 in stock thread

It didn't say that just a few hours ago, so they must have ran out or updated their mistake.
Trust me, it did say that. I have been checking the site every few hours to see if there was a stock update for the majority of this week. Besides if stock had become available it would have showed up here

You can see in the history, no stock changes have happened in weeks

What's crazy is you're almost better off buying the GH2 body only or with 14-42 and then buying a GH1 with the 14-140 if you need that lense. It basically makes your back up camera 200 bucks. Same thing if you want a pancake - might as well buy the gf1 or EP1.

How so?

What I mean is - the 14-140 is $759 at Adorama. At Kenmore camera, the gh1 WITH 14-140 is $999. So, if you need a B camera and don't already have the GH1 and 14-140, it's a great deal. $2000 would buy you a GH2 with 14-42 and a GH1 with 14-140 as opposed to one GH2 with 14- 140 for around $1500. Now if you could care less about a second camera...then it seems rather silly. When I had a GH1 and wanted a 1.7 to go with it...I could pay $399 for the lense alone, or I could buy a GF1 with the 1.7 for $700 and get a really cool go anywhere camera with the deal.
I guess it depends on what your needs are...

I just got my silver, last digits are in the 0010xx range. Quite a low number.

FWIW, the silver is not nearly as hideous as it looks in the pictures online. It's more of a matte, grainy grey/silver than anything. Definitely not as visually disturbing as the online pics would tend one to believe. :-)

That's good to know. How about first four characters?

I'm wondering if any of those new bodies Kenmore has are hackable versions?? Probably pretty low chance of that.
But, I see your point.
