Good heavens those prices are nuts. At that point just go to ebay. I see plenty of black bodies and kits on eaby daily for reasonable prices, slightly over retail.
 
I`ll sell mine, it`s a week old black 14-140 kit, lowpro camera backpack, extra panny battery and a Sandisk extreme class 10 16 gig card. I just got it for a backup camera to my HMC-150. $2000 shipped.
 
LOL. 2000. Anyway, I spoke to a panasonic customer rep yesterday regarding a gh1 order i had placed. While i had her on the phone i asked her if there was a status on my gh2 order that i placed three weeks ago. She went on tell me that it was backordered which i knew but then she mentioned that according to her computer there are deliveries scheduled on the 24th. Well I can't wait:)
 
What so funny? I paid 1700 for it with shipping plus 85 dollar backpack, $60 battery and $145 SDHC card. Do the math my friend. I`m not going to sell it and not make a few bucks on it. I seen just the kit alone go $400 bucks over my price. Now i really dont need to sell mine, it is a back up camera for me, but if somebody wants to pay my price i will sell it and i never said the price wasn't negotiable.

For those who are having their cards charged, please state if your order was EPP or not, when you ordered, and if you ordered silver or black.
 
Sorry about the tone my man. I guess 2000 isnt bad when you figure in tax and everything. I was just posting to let everyone know that some cameras are being shipped out and apparantly by the new posts they are. I'm glad, I hope my order goes out.

No problem man. I hope you guys get the cameras. I hated the waiting game.

By the way i`m selling the GH2 14-140 and extra`s for $1850 or just the GH2 14-140 and extra battery for $1650. That is the lowest i can go without losing to much money.
 
How does vat work in the states?
I'm going to New York this summer and I'll probably buy a GH2 (if they have one for sale). Some sellers ship it for free for $1499 with no tax.
If I buy it at B&H photo I would have to pay tax which would be $124 more. If I buy it with no tax, is it something I'll have to pay once it gets to NY?
 
BH is sold out now.

I was hoping to get an answer back from Unique to see if they got any, and then possibly order from BH, but nope.

There is no VAT in the US. If you purchase the item out of state while in NY, technically you are suppossed to pay state tax. In reality, you will be able to leave the country with no additional charges. The person at the ship to address could be liable at some future date, but that is unlikely. If you buy in the store in NY, you will be charged sales tax unless you have an exception. Being a foreigner is not one of them.

WOW! I ordered the silver w/ kit lens when it was still listed as in stock. After the order was put through, my order status was listed as Backordered. Geez. I canceled the order. I'm going to check on Unique and Samy's. Never heard of the Samy's place-- are they reliable?
 
I took a chance on samy's. I saw mixed reviews on reseller ratings. Ill come back to this thread if everything turns out great or goes bad for that matter.
