GH2 GH2 Hack - ACG settings

Has anyone played with the audio settings yet? I'm curious how the hack might affect the potential to get clean sound into the camera (with caveats: 2.5mm mini-jack less than ideal, etc).

I was also REALLY hoping we'd somehow be able to get audio out (to earphones). My knowledge of firmware hacking is obviously lacking ...

THanks.

Thanks Chauncy.

Still interested to hear from someone who's modified audio settings with the hack ...

Also, there's still no good "audio out" option for the GH2 but some people are using a y-cable with their external mics to monitor the input.

You read all 3 audio articles and followed the link in them to the forum discussion but didn't get your question answered?

Wow- Per, this sounds awesome!

As someone who still frequently uses Magic Lantern on a Canon, I was kind of bummed to see that the GH2 hacks were all video bitrate related. Its great to see some effort being branched out to other kinds of usability!

I mean, granted, the GH2 audio out of the box is actually surprisingly good for a DSLR, but I just don't feel like I have the same control that I do with a t2i/60D and ML if using internal audio.

I assume that since the composite out is disabled during shooting, there is not much of a chance to ever get audio monitoring though, right? That's something that seems unique to Canon-land at the moment.

Either way, I applaud your efforts!
