GH2 Hack A-J

I just did the GH2 Hack for the first time today. Here are the details:

1. My GH2 is about 2 months old. Everything was at factory settings (no updates).
2. I downloaded ptool3, GH2_V10.bin and seth. The set was from this link: http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/953/gh2-patch-vault-most-popular-patches-in-one-place The user was mpgxsvcd (September 18). The file I downloaded was the third folder.
3. I put all of the downloaded files into one folder.
4. I ran ptool3.
5. It asked me to load the firmware, so I loaded GH2_V10.bin.
6. I saved the firmware as GH2_V12
7. I then moved the new firmare to my GH2 camera/card.
8. I turned my camera off, then back on.
9. I pressed the play button and updated the camera (version up). The green bar went across the screen.
10. I formatted my memory card.
11. I shot a test clip and played back in camera. It seemed ok.
12. Other camera settings were: iso 400, 50 shutter speed, 24p cinema, rec quality 24H, Cinema -2, -2, 0 and -2 NR.

Everything seemed to work ok. 2 quick questions:

1. Did I do it right (I am looking to shoot good quality 1080 24p footage)? It would be great if it's a stable shooting mode using Panasonic 32GB class 10 card.

2. Are these good settings to use? Are they much better than factory preset?

Thanks!

1. If I decided to change to some other settings, would I just run the entire procedure again and just name the update a higher number?

2. I see some of the hack sets go from a-h. Does the camera use all of these settings? How do you change from one to another in camera?

Sorry about the confusion. There is so much info out there and it's a little confusing at times. I really appreciate all of your help!

You can only do one at a time, you do not need to pick a higher number. If you put in the hack with setting 'a' loaded into GH2__V12 and you now wish to change to setting "b" open the PTTool load GH2__V10> click on setting "B" and save as GH2__V12> load to camera.
I would not try moving the settings inside the hack yourself, the folks that come up with the a-h setting spend many hours testing various combinations.
Some hackers keep a different hack version on a seperate card so that in the field they can change say from a very high detail shot to one that spans

Good info, but if in the ptools A-J are loaded, how do you select which one you want to use? They are all (each letter at the bottom of the program) are the same color and I don't see how you pick just one. I hope that makes sense.

Does anyone know a higher quality 1080 24p hack setting that will run successfully on a class 10 panasonic card? There are so many out there. Just hoping to get your guys take on the best one to use in all situations that is reliable.

Thanks!
