Gh2 framerates....

greetings all. I'm having a hard time figuring out how to enable 60p, 60i and 30p video. I wonder if I"m missing something or if someone could explain this to me as I am feeling a bit thick. I know I got 29.97 on some of my clips but of course I was fooling around and I'd like to figure this out before I have to shoot something. I won't always be shooting 24p... some info on the slow shutter possible mode would be helpful as well.. I having figured out most of the options and got the buttons configured and a decent idea of how to shoot stills/ video.... but this last thing would be incredibly helpful...

If your in the creative movie mode, make sure it's selected to the manual movie mode instead of 24p Cinema.
Go to the next tab down and go to the rec mode selection. From there you can choose either 1080 60i, 720 60p in AVCHD or 720 30p in MJPEG,

For the intelligent mode, it's similar. Go to the next tab down and hit rec quality.

Now if you want to have very low shutter speeds you have to make sure your in the manual focusing mode or it wont go too low.

I do wish all shooting modes were in the same part of the menu and the highest 24p mode is the default. When shooting in 24p you have to make sure the Rec Quality is set to SH.
 
Thanks so much for explaining that... I was hoping to have it listed regarding the actual frame rates but this camera is quirky. I"m not also sure if it's a product of FCP but my 1080 footage all comes in at 29.97... which is fine cause I'll be shooting a lot of that. One thing I've noticed is that 60p 720 looks really clean, almost cleaner under low light situations and that's a nice change over the 7D 60p...


I appreciate your time in helping me to figure this out. I think I have most of the stuff together and I was so surprised at how decent the little microphone is on this camera and it's really pretty darn good in the auto focus mode and easy to shoot with. I'm loving the camera...
