GH2 finally dumping starts!!!!

Most people have not encountered this but an unhacked GH2 is actually unstable as well. I can get my GH2 to produce the write speed error even with a 30 mb/sec Sandisk card in certain situations. Those situations are rare. However, they are real world situations like ice rinks and climbing gyms. I doubt that Panasonic will allow a much higher bit rate in the cameras unless there is some breakthrough in data writing either in the camera or in the SD card or perhaps in both.

I finally encountered this with a highly fragmented class 10 card. It can be just as unstable as a GH13

Let's try to keep this from turning into a Panasonic conspiracy thread... it's exciting Vitaliy has started working on the GH2 and hope for the best, but the other stuff does not need to be stirred up.

What does this mean" dumping" I know almost nothing about hacking. Can someone explain to me what this means, and if it's successful, what is the next step?

It means reading the firmware directly from the chip that stores it in the camera. Next if finding the registers associated to the functions he wants to modify.
