Out of 45 clips that I shot today, about 7 of them were not able to be downloaded due to this error message...

"The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in “00023.MTS” can’t be read or written.
(Error code -36)"
What is this? I shot on a brand new Lexar 8bg, class 10, 133x speed. I did not format the card before I used it for the first time. Could that be the problem?

Thanks.

bgpixelman, did you ever get those files to transfer? I have the same thing going on on my AF100, all day shoot new & formatted card. Only half my files transfered

Did you try one of the methods to directly convert the .MTS files (in place of Log & Transfer)? I forget the names of the applications that can do it, but there should be several threads in the "Workflow" section here.

On the GH2, if you record longer than around 25 minutes, it creates two .MTS files (and a new one each 25 mins or so), but just shows the first file name with all of the continuous video file. I've never had an error from doing this, but I just figured I'd bring it up in case that could be an issue. Good luck!

Edit: Here's a couple of posts with info on converting .MTS files directly.
