GH2 Brightness Problem(s)

Problem #1
When I start recording, I lose about 1/2 stop as well as color shifting to a bit of a greener tone. Histogram can prove my eyes are not lying to me.

Problem #2
When I point the camera at a brighter area, the LCD becomes brighter, and when I point the camera at a dimmer area, the LCD becomes dimmer.

ISO is NOT set on AUTO, and I am using a manual lens. Is there a solution to these?

I got into a huge fight w/ Panasonic about this issue because their only troubleshooting method is to reset the settings, and if that still were to happen, then send it in 2 weeks for repair.

Appreciate the help that can be provided.
Thanks.

Not sure if it is the same as on the GH1 but I think there are settings for the LCD and one of them is dynamic (I think it's A*). It will change the brightness of the LCD. Could this be the problem?

I have problem # 1 i white balance and the color change when i press record. on my gh2

Not sure if i got problem # 2 i must try

I think the solution to #2 is to go into "LCD Mode" where you can select either A*, 1*, 2*, 3*, all except for 1* seems to let me keep the brightness of the LCD locked in, yet at the same time, it is super bright, and unsure if that messes with what the end footage will look like.

if anybody has a solution for problem #1, please post. Do I need to send it in for repair? Thanks.
