Everyone already knows about the 3D lens being made for the G series, but it seems to be on new body in this article (hence the covering up of labels with black tape).

Supposedly this lens along with new body will be showcased at Photokina. It would make no sense for Panny to release a new body just for the 3D so probably he GH2.

Let the speculation begin...

Actually, the camera in the photos at the link above are likely to be a current-model G2, not a prototype "GH2".

See close-up photos of the G2 on Panasonic's website:

If it was G2, why did they hide the labels ? To me, it looks GH2 prototype.

maybe because when this photo was leaked the G2 wasn't released yet. its just surfacing now?

who knows. whats a picture of a camera gonna do anyways...lol its just a picture at the end of the day.

Anything's possible, but I don't think Panasonic would leave one of its new "crown jewels" (a "GH2") laying around at a big trade show so people could take photos of it.

One explanation for that G2 camera's lack of labels is that it might have pre-release firmware installed for use with the 3D lens, and they didn't want their booth staff to confuse that camera with other release-version G2 cameras in the booth.

Again, just a guess, but I doubt Panasonic would be so careless to spill the "GH2" beans this early. As I said above, the no-label cam is probably a G2, not a "GH2". The big announcement is yet to come -- I hope! :-)

Agreed, probably G2... just thought I'd throw it out there (as if there isn't enough GH2 speculation).
