GH2 GH2 Body for $38 (Buy it now on FleaBay): scam or typo?

Certainly I wouldn't. It's just that I'm always interested in how to spot/understand EBay scams, and this listing seems normal enough except for the price/country, and 0 feedback. Wouldn't Paypal simply reverse the transactions if no camera arrived .... how could the scammer avoid that?

IMHO, don't buy.... this does not seems normal...

I recently got taken by a chinese seller in the following way. I bought a usb flash drive for incredible price. The seller sent an oxidized fifty-cent-like chinese coin. eBay asserted the seller had indeed shipped their product. They would not budge, even after I spent money to send this coin back, I still ended up losing money. If the deal looks too good to be true, it probably is... Al
EDIT: note seller has no selling record with eBay

It's a scam- I also have one here for $50* as well. Want it?

It could work a number of different ways, all of them ends up with someone else getting screwed. The first is fill up your paypal account and not ship, and spend the paypal account for real goods shipped to you. Here in the states the transfer to a bank account is completely reversible, so doing that you are left on the hook with the bank if you spend it. If you get a paypal debit card, you fill up the account with bogus sales and use the debit card at an ATM, limit $400 a day, and drain the account that way.

But the entire paypal account is probably set up on a stolen identity and fraud bank account, so the real thief is covered that way.

The gest of it is though, move "money" in and move it right back out into usable/salable real goods you can put your hands on fast.

Well, the ad is still up. So, how many of you guys, that got scammed, have reported this as a scam to E-bay?? I did....anybody else??

was 5dmk2 up on ebay for 1k yesterday. obvious hacked account, but a lot of cams sold. you're not covered by any "buyer protection", it's a lie - ebay won't give you back a cent when the money is gone from the (stolen) ebay->paypal transfer accs.

new policies underway i got in my mailbox yesterday, well, scammers do flourish while you can.

My imagined scenario is that they probably have the money going to a stolen paypal account that was bought from some underground wares market to cover their tracks. The money from the sales go to the stolen account and if they're nifty enough, they then have the money cashed out in small increments through small-market money transfers provided by others in their circle. After that, the money is returned to the eBay buyers who lost out on the deal in accordance with the buyer-protection policy and the thieves get their money while the actual owner of the verified paypal account (remember, accounts have to be verified before selling) is then stuck with a limited paypal account that's stuck with a negative balance of who knows hundreds or even tens of thousands of dollars. Sounds crazy, but I would imagine this to be the most likely scenario. I know a guy from Russia who used to be a part of this kind of thing until the Russian police started catching whiff. Now he's an exile living in Brazil. Knowing some of the stuff he did, this is how he probably would have pulled it off.
