GH2: Blue horizontal banding?

Check this clip that was shot with the GH2. Focus on the out of focus 60D and the out of focus lens... I have no idea under what conditions this footage was shot but it worries me....

Even worse banding can be found here (check the shots at 25 seconds):

Another example of a different kind of banding:

Not as bad but still bothersome:
there you go. tried it at 1/50, as this will be my main usage.
there's a line at the lower part of the screen.
so i gather that the Japanese cams have it.

Scene was not lite properly. Looks like he is really boosting the ISO. Plus he never gives us an idea of his post workflow.
It was a quick test to show the crop mode. Look at some properly exposed GH2 footage and don't worry.

I boosted the blue channel to make it more visible. Maybe it's my monitor, but on my computer I can see it very well in the video (blue lines flickering and jumping around).

Keep in mind this is done with crop mode so that might introduce artifacting in less than ideal light.

i dont see it on mine either. I see a slight (and when i mean slight i mean i wouldnt have noticed it if you didnt put up a frame grab of where it was) blue band but to me thats just light reflection when he is changing focus. Im pretty sure he is shooting on a zeiss 84mm f1.4. characteristic of the lens and interpretation of the bokeh possibly.

It's definitely not a reflection. I guess it really depends on the monitor you view it at. On my monitor, especially if I look at the monitor from a somewhat high angle I see very pronounced blue bands that jump around wildly. This is visible in all black parts of the image, especially when they are out of focus. I just saw that others noticed the same independently from me and pointed it out in the comments section of the video and blog...

just looked at it again with my monitor tilted and yeah its easier to see. i did the good old play pause play pause and it looks like sensor refreshing top to bottom in the blue channel. if this was shot at 3200 iso i can live with it =).

ah eh, totally noticeable on the first view. The black areas seem to make more pronounced and visible. Maybe it is supa high iso and werid light condition that might have caused this little sensor boo boo. Jst a bad scenario possibly.

Such banding occures on dark areas in GH2 footage.
Moving horizontal bands.
I think that this is major cause of GH2 delay that we see.

Panny better fix the issue. It's not funny to see how Nikon disappointed its customers who bought 1st batch of D7000 that has some major hot pixel issue.

This appears to be the same issue we've seen on early prototypes. For example, check the opening scene on the following video, from about :25 on. Those blue horizontals look huge by comparison! It also appears the problem has been mitigated, but [watching closely] is still there.

I think that regular noise structure is almost the same in preproduction GH2 and Japan cameras.

This banding is very easy to notice.

If it's a firmware issue, release a new firmware. If it's a hardware issue, fix all in inventories before shipping. I really hope Panasonic gains more market share and gains more profit and continues to release good products. This is not the time to be reactive. Be proactive, Panasonic!!!

Am sure its there if you go looking for it, but I dont think 99%people have seen it, or are even bothered by it:Drogar-Shock(DBG):

This banding immediately caught my attention when watching the footage for the first time, I find it really distracting. Would be really disappointing if they don't fix that issue... they will get a lot of returns....
