GH2 Battery Hack

So I got a panasonic DMW-DCC8 camera side of the ac adapter kit

and I am trying to adapt it to another battery like what switronix does with this cable - http://www.switronix.com/products/b...page=flypage.tpl&product_id=90&category_id=39

Not sure if the switronix cable for GH1 will work with GH2.

The main battery for the GH2 is 7.2v and the DCC8 is 8.4v. I have a 7.2v battery on hand and the GH2 says that it is unusable - powers on briefly to display that message. I'm going to try to find a 8.4v battery if I can or maybe I should get the switronix cable and hack it to us another battery (their option is expensive and heavy).

Anyone else messing around with this stuff?

It won't work without proper Panasonic adapter, I think.

It should work, the dc adaptor doesn't send any signal to the DCC8, so as long as the voltage and polarity are correct it should work. I would get another battery myself either a sealed lead acid or a ni-mh or li-ion one for RC vehicles. Looks like a standard sort of power connector on the DCC8
