GH2 battery dies...Video corrupt

Hi all,

I was filming a timelapse and the battery died during it.. Now the footage is not there.

This is a huge issue for me, is this normal?

how to fix corrupt file???
 
Does it not auto correct in the camera? I know there's software out there that does correct corruped clips. In my 150 the camera does it but I know there's stuff out there...

Are there MTS files on the card? Anything on the card at all? It should have been writing something to it as stills in the folder though, right?
 
the files are there but it will not play in camera. The camera acts like it's not there. IS there a fix corrupt file in camera? I know my hpx170 has that option if the file becomes bad due to battery running out etc..
 
So if the battery dies during a shoot..one will loose all the footage>? shux this stinks. I plan on filming long events without interruption, Now I will always worry about my batteries running out of juice.
