GH2 audio...limiter?

It seems like the Gh2 has some sort of limiter in place...I've noticed that when I am yelling at a level that should be loud enough to peak it, it peaks for a second and then drops back down and stays are 2 bars below peaking. Then I put the sound on the computer and the audio is clearly distorting like it is peaking, but hovers around minus 6 DB...loud but not peaking. This was done with camera volume on lowest and Røde videomic with volume at 0DB (as opposed to minus 10 or -20.) Is it just me or are the mics and input on this thing a little hot? I am going to turn down my Røde videomic to -10 probably. Other than this it really sounds great, and the level meters let me know whether or not my mic is at the very least working...which is great because my GH1 seemed to have a bug where sometimes the incoming audio would basically be totally trashed and almost not even there from time to time with no reason with this mic...only solution was to stop recording and start again...not repeatable even with same cord position. Anyway, I am pretty happy with the audio quality on this camera so far, it's much better than GH1 and I would call it good enough for documentary work...hell if something went wrong on your prime audio track for a narrative you might be able to splice in the stuff from the camera (with an external mic.)

I've been waiting to hear that for a while.
