GH2 and Stock 14-42 Lens made my Manfrotto ModoSteady Useful again

ModoSteady balances nicely and easily with the Stock Lens GH2....
And the O.I.S. pull the magic too (mode 3). One must still operate the ModoSteady cautiously - but I'm happy with the results again.

GH1 with the 14-140 Was way too heavy, and while I could use the 17mm or 20mm pancakes lenses there's no O.I.S to assist the low budget ModoSteady. I'll post sample footage later tonight.

Here's a little sample with the ModoSteady. Not the best stabilizer out there, but certainly one of the top bargain and readily available in the US - not eBay hassle. Known US Online Retailers carry these all day less than $100.

I heard there's potential for improving these via mods. All I had to do was balance the camera properly and remove one of the weights from the holder. That's it!

May want to download the MTS as vimeo has done some weird processing during encoding! There's no jump-cut on the original files. This is a one stream capture straight off the camera. Don't know what vimeo is doing. Although the cuts don't look that bad. :-)
