Does anybody have problems connecting the GH2 to the SmallHD Dp6 via HDMI?
WHen I connect, the screen flickers a lot, and is unable to maintain a connection. 90% of the time the Dp6 is blue.

My Nikon D7000 HDMI out works fine with the dp6. And the GH2 HDMI works fine with the HDMI input of my LCD TV.

I concider the same monitor for GH2, but what you experience here might change my plans.

If it's not a setting or issue on the GH2, maybe this is something that SmallHD can fix with a firmware update for the DP6?

Sounds like a cable/connector issue to me. Try hooking both monitor and camera up to other devices to isolate. Connect the monitor to a BD player or CATV box. Connect the camera to a TV. Try a different cable. HDMI signals are incredibly sensitive to bad connections, even the slightest grease or crud in the connectors can cause problems. Cheap cables are often problematic too.

If the Cable is not the issue, please report this on our /support page. We have not had any other reports of this kind that I am aware of.

Were you trying to use 1080p/24 or 720p/60? From my reading in that referenced thread, the GH2's HDMI has troubles with these.

GH2 seems to connect fine to my TV and the HDMI input of my HP LCD monitor in 1080p/24. However, I do notice that it is a *tiny* bit flickery when connected to these. And there's some flickery white spots on these connected displays. The SmallHD is perfectly fine when connected to the HDMI output of my computer, no flickering at all. I ordered a couple mini-HDMI to HDMI cables from the smallhd website and will try those.
