GH2 GH2 and JuicedLink DT454 - how do you attach?

Hi. I just got my GH2 and the JL dt454. Those of you that have this combo, how do you attach them together? If I was to simply screw the 454 into the tripod socket, it would block the battery door.
If I use a Bogen quick release plate to the camera and then screw the JL 454 into it, it would require a shim or spacer to make it fit flush. Then, I would need another Bogen quick release plate setup to screw into the bottom of the JL 454 so it can be attached to my tripod and/or bracket.
Any wisdom out there?
Also, on setting up the 454, the user manual did not include the GH2 so I emailed Juiced Link. I got a reply right away, telling me to set it up like the Canon 5d. Thanks.
Feel free to suggest any way that would be a better way to connect this stuff! Also, I will have to find a cable that would work, going from the 454 to the GH2.

Wow,

that guy responded fast! Here's what he wrote considering a cable:

'Search for the Hosa GMP-467.

A few months ago I wrote to Robert inquiring about using the GH2 with juicedLink boxes. He wrote back saying that he had some 2.5mm to 3.5mm cables that he could sell specifically for GH1 and GH2 users. That's what you want to use. With audio it's always a much better idea to ditch adapters like the GMP-467 in favor of dedicated cables. This is especially true with smaller audio connectors, and the 2.5mm input on the GH cameras is as small as they get.

I would write Robert back and see if he still has any dedicated 2.5mm to 3.5mm output cables to sell. When I communicated with him, he even mentioned that he intended to add them on his website to sell. I think all GH users should encourage manufacturers to actively produce, market and sell dedicated 2.5mm audio accessories for GH cameras. Currently there aren't too many of them out there. The more options we have, the better off our productions and the future-proofness of our cameras will be.

To HVXguy... juciedLink is aware of the interest in GH cameras. A section of the DT454's manual is dedicated to the GH1. Robert just needs some nudging to realize that we need dedicated accessories.

Juiced Link is shipping a custom cord to me. At first he tried to tell me about the adapter made by Hosa. I told him that I wanted a dedicated cord and that it would benefit his business to make one available to his customers. Then, I got this reply... $14.00 3.5mm to 2.5mm stereo minijack cable
$4.95 shipping

$18.95 TOTAL

He needs to put that on his website and/or include the cable with any JuicedLink mixer that a GH2 owner buys...
