GH2 and FCP 6.0.6 Log & Transfer Glitch

Looking for someone with a Panasonic GH2 and Final Cut Pro 6.0.6 to run a very simple test for me so I can see if the problem I'm having is on my end or elsewhere.

What I'd like you to do is shoot a 30-second video of anything (color chart, your pet, your living room....) with the camera set in Manual Movie Mode, Record Mode AVCHD (1080i), Record Quality FSH, and the Exposure mode doesn't matter. After you shoot it plug the SD card into your Mac (let me know what you have in case that matters), in FCP 6.0.6 select Log and Transfer, open the Log and Transfer Preferences and select AVCHD either Apple ProRes or Apple Intermediate Codec and add clip to queue. In FCP 6.0.6 double-click on the clip in the bin and play it in the View window. Let me know how it looks.

Thanks!

Never mind. Stopped off at an Apple store (wanted to pre-order a iPad2) and took my SD card and a reader. Stuck it into a Mac Pro and log/transferred in the clips into FCP 7, no problems at all. So it's a FCP 6.0.6 issue. At least now I know.

I was having the same problem and had to convert the files to another format for my Mac to read the files and bring into FCP 6.0.6.
Going to use iMovie 11 for now and settle on long term solution after NAB the new release/redesign of FCP next month. Then, look at all the options. Good luck.

Yeah, iMovie worked here, too. However, I saw some stair steps on a pan. Didn't export to FCP to see it it was there, too, or not. Found another app I had that will convert for now. I want to see what the new FCP offers. Premiere CS5 doesn't have the issue and has some features I like, too. Time will tell.
