gh2 and avid problems

I had the gh1 and it worked just fine with avid never any problem but no when i now have the gh2 i cant even import the mts file... the avid just crash when iam trying to import. whats the problem? and when i try to import older mts files from gh1 no problem. Do i need a upgrade of media composer? got 5.0 now on mac.

i have pc so i wouldn't know..
i do know i had to update to a newer patch (5.03.2) for GH2 files to import fine. don't have GH1..
