GH2 GH2 72hr Short Film - Flowmotion 65mbit - 10min Comedy

[analog_addict]

Took part in a 72 hour film challenge recently. We didn't win but here is our film. We shot on a GH2 with Flowmotion reduced to 65mbit. Please watch till the end!

We filmed it over 2 days and edited it the next day.

Would be interested to hear some feedback.

I watched the whole thing, beginning to end, and first of all, congrats on getting it done, and there are some things I really liked. Some of the shots were very cool.
But here are a few major critiques:
A dissolve to black to move the story along every couple of minutes was very distracting for me. It would have been good to get some cutaways instead.
Then, the story was fairly interesting, but didn't have any payoff. Part of that is that I was waiting for a joke at the end because of how the alien was obviously a pretty silly costume. But even so, ending it with "You scared it off" didn't work for me. I guess the climax didn't really feel like any sort of climax for me.

One thing I will say is that the audio sounded really good. The dialogue was clear, which is something that's often neglected in a project like this. Keep up the good work! A 72 hour film is a tough thing to do, so don't take my critiques to harshly!
