Hi everyone, this is my first post here.

Just to let anyone who is looking for a GH2 know that I managed to pick up a GH2 14-42 kit for £615 GBP at Dixons Travel at Gatwick Airport. Since I was travelling again a week later, I picked up another for a friend and this time they had gone down to £608!!!

I travelled to Dublin especially so I could get mine (it was the cheapest place to fly to and I was due to get two).

Here's a film I did with my new GH2 in Dublin. See if you can spot the Irish accent spelling in the opening credits :-)

This is by far the lowest UK price I have seen. You can call any branch of Dixons Travel to reserve one if you or someone you know is going on holiday.

Hope this helps someone.

Man that's a great price! Is that VAT free or something? Or does that inc VAT? Only ask as I can claim VAT back.

I love Dublin, lots of good memories from the vid! Remember walking down that main shopping street (can't remember the name... O'Connell is it?) with all the performers at Xmas, that was great. I couldn't like at that spire for more than 5 seconds without feeling dizzy :D

Thanks for the tip Marc! I would also be interested to know if that included VAT or not? You didn't happen to spot the GH2 and 14-140 option? As I understand it that is more suited to video work and would complement a 20mm pancake nicely.

Yes, VAT included, so you are looking at about £507 ex VAT!

Yes, that was O'Connell Street. Dublin is a fantastic city and can't wait to go back

Hi kmkm, unfortunately they only stock the 14-42 kit, but I figured that at that price, it leaves some budget for me to get a prime like you suggested. I've just received my email from Panasonic with my free 5 year warranty upgrade (which I found out about by chance), so this is turning out to be a very nice bargain!

If you're after more range, don't forget the excellent ETC mode. I've found it very useful and impressive.

The video on my Vimeo page was my first shoot with anything, let alone a DSLR/M4/3 type device, so was very experimental with settings and of course no support rig etc. Having now had the camera for a few weeks, I'm getting a little more confident with it's settings. Shot some nice low light stuff in Ibiza last week, including a very nice sunset time-lapse!
