GH17 Not Hacking..

I used the newest version of Ptool, 3.6.1, and checked the apropriate boxes, but when I put the firmware on the root of my SD card and put it in my camera with a fully charged battery, I hit the preview button and the camera just freezes. I have to take the battery out of the camera in order for it to shut off. The same firmware worked just fine on my GH13 with the same SD card and battery (panasonic battery btw). Any ideas what the problem could be?

Before you copy the firmware to the card, make sure you have formatted the card on the camera you intend to upgrade.

and also try turning the camera off first, then inserting the card, and powering up- then go to your preview button.
