gh13 stable 48Mbps FHD native avchd and true time record display

seems that mutliple rate from the original panasonic GH1__132.bin work better and time citizen.

Native 24p/25p: checked
AVCHD Video Bitrate FHD: (16000000*3)= 48000000
AVCHD Overall Bitrate: (18000000*3)= 54000000
nothing else changed

recorded time shown is the real time recorded
in some still images record stop
tested with economic SDHC silicon power class 10, value 50euro

hope to be usefull, sorry for my bad english

*another test megabit bit

bitrate 46.875 --> 48.000.000*
overall bitrate 52.734,375 --> 54.000.000*
preset bitrate 31.484 --> 32.239.616* bitrate-gap
preset bitrate2 31.484 --> 32.239.616* bitrate-gap
overall bitrate2 37.343,375 --> 38.239.616* overall bitrate-gap

15760384=gap

with pappas and grass foliage rec-stop

also only Native Avchd with others parametres unchanged, reveal unstable encode flow

now j'm testing "patches for tester" ---> AVCHD movie mode" ---> "AVCHD research"

is there a syntetic manual that explain " costant for 1080p ", "framerate related comparison" and others?

"AVCHD encoder error tag" is a boolean flag?

Please define "stable". Thanks.

j've record session of 40minutes with no sdhc error

some session filming television monitor catodic and lcd
some session filming on a lake with sun and cloud
some session filming spider with close up lens on 14-140
some session filming outside my car
j've had error filming for more than 3minutes the classic clock on windows7 with hig or low iso and shutter

Ok, but you wrote "in some still images record stop" ... even if you're using a cheap SDHC card, it is a class 10, so the card must have a rate a lot bigger than 53000000 bit per secons...
I'll write you a private message in italian, about this issue

yes thanks!! wait for Your PM!
in some discussion j've read that the "write sdhc error message" could be an error of the AVCHD encode gh13 flow and "not a real speed sdhc error". j'm trying to understand if it is the true. it's also singular that same scenes at low shutter block the system rec. my be a buffer under run.
Native 24p/25p checked is in my opinion wonderful and it's more easy in post production

This setting does not work for me. I filmed trees.
Gold Card Panasonic 16GB CL10. Termination after 10s. 0 kb file.

thanks so much for your test
mybe GH13 is like a woman.............unpredictable! :D
is anybody else that have made trial-footage with this setting?
have a good weekEnd to everyOne!

j've a dream: grab avchd stream from sdhc slot and redirect to pc

j try another empiric way.

avchd fhd 24/25 native checked with not touched bitrare and overall bitrate until found a good GOP

GOP1 -> bad
GOP2 -> bad
GOP3 -> bad
GOP4 -> bad
GOP5 -> bad
GOP6 -> bad
GOP7 -> bad
GOP8 -> seems okay. j will test GOP8 more with gh13 rec and look for 192s and strage frame (sometimes j'seen white frame in lower gop or eccessive p frame ) .

if it's good J will encrease first overall bit rate and then bitrate.
j try, j'm not sure, but try

testing using Motion 30fps codec tests chart PAPPASARTS.mov and in weekend foliage and grass ( if my childrens don't touch my tripod!!! )

Be aware of double posts here.. forum moderators don´t like this .. You should use 'EDIT' and write 'updates' in to one post -- :-)

As usual :)

I frankly don't see why people waste time sharing settings without actually shooting normal, detailed irl stuff. It makes designing patches for slow cards seem like a proper way of spending your time in comparison.

Please, are you writing that with quick card we have no problem at all? actually I'm using class 6 cards, but I'm waiting for some 10 class card. Trees is my nightmare, also, because with every setting (over 50 mbps) seems crash... I' don't know if is better don't switch to 24 fps but stay at 60i, and remove 3:2pulldown in post. In the next days I'll try this kind of settings.

hi William!

j have tested my configuration with PAPPASARTS.mov and it crash.
now j'm working testing different configuration of
patch for tester ---> AVCHD compression ---> prest bitrare, preset bitrate2, overall bitrate2

next, when j find a god gonfiguration test it again with PAPPASARTS.mov, and work with shorter Gop to try to remove 192s

may be the good way

now j don't look only for high bitrate, j look first for stable flow
