I am using lpowell 40m high reliable patch. I need to shoot at 1/25 shutter, for super8 telecine reasons this is a speed that has less flicker.
In FHd i can't go below 1/30
in shd i can use 1/25, but then codec goes crazy and breakdown.. is there a solution to use < than 1/30 in fhd ? i'm in full manual focus ( old canon fd glass) Creative movie mode...

I can't help accept to say I've been using 50 shutter speed with lpowell settings on a Pal GH13. Looks great.

you cant go lower that 30 in full HD it wont let you. You can go lower in 720 but you have to make sure your bitrate is below 35Mbits or else it will break up.

..ok, i'll have to lower bitrate then.. wonder why you can't go below 1/30 .. i thought i had used a very slow shutter once i was playing outside at night.. probably i was in SHD ...

Hi henryciullo,

I was the same problem as you. As MR Fanny said, if codec goes above 35 Mbps it breaks up. For this cases, I have a H setting in 24 Mbps, which works very well. Although you can get real FHD with low shutter, you can use 720p and convert to 1080p without appreciable loss of quality (even 720p is sharper than 1080p).
