This question may have been asked already but i have a hacked gh1, not sure what patch is on it or what settings, is there a way to check? ptool perhaps? I know nothing about hacking and didn't hack this camera, I bought it like this.

Also what would be a good patch and/or settings? there's so many different ones, preferably one that handles low light pretty good but also other scene types, I guess what i'm asking for is a well-rounded patch and settings? i'm particularly interested in the lpowell 40Mbps AVCHD High Reliability Patch

The fastest way to check what settings your camera has is to use ptool to export some new settings and install them.. You could always shoot something and pull it into MediaInfo to check out the bitrate, but since the camera uses a variable bitrate, that isn't really a good indication of the cameras settings. I'd try to just install a new set of settings. Usually you need to change the version number though when you upgrade so start out by naming the ptool settins file GH1__133.bin and go up from there until it works. I just bought one a few weeks ago and I just randomly started it at 139 so I knew it would install the first time. Lpowell's settings are great and very reliable. It really just depends on the speed of your SD cards. If you can get a higher bitrate that is reliable for you with your cards then go for it.
