GH13 Footage Handheld shot from Chopper over Fiji

Yeah wish i was back there. Shot in 720p 50fps and slowed down .75 rendered to 25p. Introduced a bit of strobing but it's only way i know of to get stable footy from a Heli.

Beautiful shots, Rambo!

Thanks lpowell, it was your reliable patch. The reef/surf shot just after the start is the Famous Cloudbreak surfing spot where many Pro contests are held. There is still a judging platform in the water but is covered with six inches of bird ****. Can't believe the chopper pilot let me hang half out the door (door was removed) with just a seat belt around me...haha. Found a posi just inside the downdraft where there was no turbulence.

Whoa, dude, hope you had a good camera strap as well! Thanks again for the props to my 40Mbps AVCHD High Reliability Patch. If you have an opportunity to try out my latest 100Mbps Max Latitude Native 25p Patch, I'd be very interested to hear how it fares out in the wild. While I have tested the Native 25p FHD mode on a bit of surf action, it was like bath water compared to your open seas adventures.

I do intend trying it as i have all you're awesome patches, but as most of my video is shot in high contrast, bright conditions with deep DOF, the average data rate is consistently around 33 - 35Mbps in 720p @50fps. Any mud is usually hidden within the dark areas of the ocean waves which is not the focus of the video anyway, so the effect is like a blurring.

My concern using 25p as opposed to 50p is the jello issue with camera movement. Make me happy, give me 100Mbps at 50p ...haha. I think it (100Mbps Max Latitude Native 25p Patch) would be great for tripod surf footage shot from cliff/vantage point, i definitely will try it for that soon.
