tldr: does it exist?
most everything i've read on this forum so far is all about 1080p. thats great and all, but honestly, i don't really care about over cranking the GH1 to bitrate and pixel extremes. i don't really mind the image the factory firmware produces.
my biggest issues though are 1. the jello at 1080 (which is why i shoot 720), and 2. the re-encoding from 60p to 24p is a huge hassle though and very time consuming.
it sounds like the hack doesn not fix the jello issue at 1080. but i am wondering if it fixes the 60p issue? the FAQ mentioned something about 720/24 mjpeg and how it wasn't 100% reliable. what about AVC though? again, bitrates don't matter really. if its better than the 17mbps or whatever the factory setting is, that's great. and if it can still run on a transcend class 6, thats great too.
thanks for the help!
