GH1 workflow in a nutshell for boneheads(?)

Will say up front I'm not a photographer, cinematographer or filmmaker

After watching the forums for a while and mulling options I bought today a GH1 to be used mainly for interviews, some b-roll etc

Q#1 - is there a good info source for basic steps for workflow in general and/or more specific to the GH1?

(or if somebody wants to take a crack at it in terms of laying out basic steps keeping the bonehead factor in mind)


What I have to work with so far is:

MacBook Pro
2.8 Ghz with NVIDIA GeForce 9400M & NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT
Final Cut Studio
GH1 with kit lens plus pancake 20mm/f1.7
8gb class 10 cards
and will be purchasing an external raid drive
