GH1 with DV Rack

Since you can't output live to a monitor with this camera, would it be possible to view the footage on playback, using DV Rack?

i.e. Would DV Rack be able to pick up hotspots etc. via it's Zebra function, when you playback the GH1 footage you just filmed?

Yes, but how? The only way I can think of would be to pipe the composite output from the GH1 into the video input of a DV camera that could do a live transcode out to its firewire port and then into DV Rack.

Or something like a Canopus ADVC converter box.

If someday DV Rack (OnLocation now) gets HDMI capture card support, that'll make things a whole lot simpler (and allow for HD!)

Well, no, I don't think so... it appears to primarily convert HDMI to HD-SDI. The firewire seems to be there for deck control from or to RS422, presumably from firewire input to RS422 output.
