GH1 GH1 upgrade: G6 vs Samsung NX300

Hello,
this is my first thread, so let me introduce myself: I'm Gaetano from Italy (so I apologize for my bad english...) and I love, as you all, taking pictures and movies with my cameras
Right now I've a Canon EOS 1100D and a Panasonic GH1. Usually i use the first for stills (I find it superior to the GH1: better colours, lower noise in low lights etc etc, overall a better performer by a good margin for stills) and the latter for video (video on 1100D is not even comparable...).
Fact is that I'm a little disappointed by the GH1: except for movies and stills taken with good light and low iso, starting from 640 iso GH1 shows a lot of pitfalls (bad auto white balance, poor colours and skin tones, banding noise on shadows etc etc). These problems are absents on the 1100D, but the video isn't the 1100D territory so I decided to sell my GH1 and take a new camera. Initially I was leaning towards the pana G6. We all now G6 is a good performer on video, at least on par if not superior to GH2, and better than GH1 for stills and has no banding noise problems nor bad white balance etc etc. Then within my infinite search I stumbled upon the "not famous" Samsung NX300: It's video from you tube looks really really good, to my eyes on par with the G6; sharpness is really good and colour seems better than the G6, it reminds me the really good colours of the NEX5N, plus a pana-like sharpness; great skin tones and good low light performance too. Only downside seems a more pronounced moiré (NX300 seems to not have low pass filter).
Finally the question: because I can't find video comparison between the G6 and the NX300, could someone who have tried/owned both help me with the choice and or link me some video comparison between these two cameras?
Herewith I put some links to the NX300 videos:

Opinions?

Thank you!

If you have lenses for the GH1 (besides the "kit" lens that may have come with the GH1) I would vote for the G6 (I don't have any first hand experience nor knowledge of the Samsung).

If you got the GH1 with the Lumix 14-45mm "kit" lens definitely keep that one (If you go for a G6) as it is better mechanically (and some say optically) than the 14-42 that came with later models, although the 14-42 that comes with the G6 is supposed to be improved.

I wound up searching for and ordering a 14-45 to use with my GX1 and I like what it gets me very much.

Thanks for the answer; however I have no lenses for the GH1 (I use vintage lens with an adapter), so my choice doesn't have constraints. What do you think of the NX300 video quality ?

you might consider the canon eos m . It's a super bargain at the moment . Stills will beat the g6 but the g6 will out video the m ....but not by much . It appears much improved with it's new firmware . Then wait for the g6 to be discounted .

The NX300 video looks pretty good, but you get an EVF and mic input with the G6.

I searched on you tube for EOS M video tests and...meh...from what I can see the video quality is light years from NX300. Stills for shure will be good at least as much as my 1100D but...I already have a 1100D :-D
Some years are passed from my first steps in the photo/video world and the more I look to the canon products the more I think that, on the sensor side, they really aren't in the same league of the competitors: all the canon DSLR are stucked on the 10-11 Stop DR from years, so probably the "core" stays always the same from years.
Even on the stills the NX300 has the edge: almost 13 stops of DR and almost 1000ISO noise free results.Light years from canon, even from their "midrange" products.
Don't you think?

MIC is not a problem for me, I have a lot of great audio equipment captur (I had a semi-pro recording studio until a few years ago) but....EVF is really really my only doubt... :undecided

If the NX300 has HDMI for an external monitor(?), you could get a small LCD for the hot shoe or on a flash bracket.

Many of the LCD's come with shades for viewing in the sun....or can buy for it.

...really ? Can you be more specific ? I don't know anything 'bout the samsung camera ...and wouldn't buy one for the simple reason of the lens mount...and the fact that samsung camerasystems lifespan is probably on par with a grasshoppers. So while I'd definitely buy a samsung lcd , why would anyone serious about cameras invest in their camera system?? And I've looked at hundreds, if not more, examples of g6 videos , and while g6 is really a great camera and I'll definitely buy one when it reaches $500 ( I own a hacked gh1 btw) the video quality of the eso-m is about equal to the 7d , including the fact that magiclantern is now available for it as well as raw, and the fact that it offers a cheap electronic mirrorless solution to eos mount lenses (as well as fd's) which even the m43 system doesn't offer. So if the question is only between the samsung and the g6....I can't understand the dilemma. M43 offers a magnifold advantage over a dead system. You don't just buy a camera by itself, you buy a system, and samsung, pardon my incredulity, is a joke !

I'm not sure on your statement about the lens mount thing: EOS-M uses a new mount system, called EF-M, so is different from EOS EF and/or FD, hence you need to buy an adapter to use EOS EF/FD lenses.
Now, from what I know, FD are manual focus lenses, so considering that even on samsung you can buy a cheap adapter to mount old manual focus lenses (like the OM monut Zuiko 50mm f1.8 and 28mm f 2.8 that I already have), I don't understand your point.
If you were talking about the fact that one can also use the EF lenses (hence you have electronic aperture and focus), well It's true but I can buy samsung lens for this, they are cheap and optically very good so...Moreover, for video I really can't imagine anyone to rely on the autofocus thing, it's simply a joke.
Regarding the fact that Samsung it's a dead system...well..I don't want to discuss of economical and marketing aspects, I'm not a marketing man, I want to shoot video and pictures: my interest is simply to have the best quality/cost ratio and, imho, EOS-M, for its price, it's light years from the NX 300 quality, both for video and stills. Obviously your mileage may vary, but this is what my eyes see. Pictures and video quality, togheter with a lower cost, for me have the 90% of the importance, the rest is marginal.
