i have a brand new GH1, i tried to hack it with the "40Mbps high reliabilty" patch but it does not work :

i made a 5 second test in "smooth" film mode it was ok (but i noticed the average bitrate was 32mbps instead of 40mbps) and then i tried "nostalgic" and it stopped after 2 seconds and i got a message like "film recording stoped because your card is too slow" ????" (the bitrate of the first 2 seconds written before it stopped was 40mpbs)

i have a "32gb sdhc lexar pro 133x" class 10 card !!! did i do something wrong or is this patch unreliable ? my serial is WE1BA001275 is my gh1 too new to be hacked ??

help appreciated.

update: it was a sd card class 10 unreliability problem can the moderator please delete this entire thread.

I think it will do that when there is too much detail in the scene. I have had it happen to me a few times with a Sandisk class 6 card. The only time it did it was with the same type of shot. My dog against a country road which had a lot of random cement and stone detail in it. Every shot after that was perfectly fine.

Do not double post and for sure not triple post.

i formated the card in the camera, anything else i should do ?

Yes, you should not post your message, request, SOS in more than one thread.

You probably shouldn't have posted it at all, because these issues have been discussed before on multiple occasions.

I can't imagine your problem is so urgent that it requires everybody's help this very minute.
How did you manage to live before, when you also couldn't do what you can't now?

How did you hack the camera? Did you input the settings manually or did you use an .ini file?

etc. etc. etc.

i asked for the most reliable patch because i wanted to avoid these kind of problems and i was told to stick to the "40mbps high reliablity patch"
i followed the step by step guide without skipping a line (http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthrea...tool-hack-quot-GH17-Lenin-quot-(2011-cameras)) and it is disappointing to see that it does not work at all.

are you still having the same problems? if so, you may need to get a different card.
the card was tested at 15mB/s sequential write in crystaldiskmark, so card seems ok, the problem must come from the hack, how can i check if the hack never tries to write at a faster speed than 44 mbps ?

go to Panasonics website and download the current firmware, version 1__32.bin, install it in the root directory of your SD card, load into camera, push play, up arrow, select, and don't touch anything until the firmware upgrade is complete. you're done. you are now back to having a brand new un-hacked gh1.
now go out and shoot some video with that, and see if you have any problems.

are you shooting in creative movie mode/manual?? shutter speed set at 2x frame rate?? please stop posting in 3 or more different places the same question. there is enough readily available information in these forums to help you.
get rid of the lexar 133x "class 10", and get the sandisk extreme III 30mb/second card. I've never had a failure using the high reliability patch, and this memory card.

start with an unhacked camera first-shoot some video, and see how it goes. get used to the camera shooting video. then, when you've figured out all the settings and menu's, and made a bunch of test clips, you can then move forward with hacking.

shooting good video, with the Gh1 requires a fairly advanced knowledge of the camera, it's settings, and the basics of shooting video with a dslr. you tube and google searches, as well as searches on this forum will help you.
spend a day or two reading, and watching how to video's.

As others have already questioned, why are you swamping the forum with questions that have answers elsewhere? I've probably read solutions to your problems in at least 10 different threads on this forum. Instead of making everyone else cater to your wants, why don't you do a quick search and locate the information yourself. It'll be much quicker for you and less annoying for everyone else.

if my problem is a typical problem then maybe it would have been wise to mention it at the end of the step by step guide i have been following very precisely to avoid any surprises.
sorry about the trouble of my multiple posts i wasn't sure what was the best place to put it to get an answer, i spent many hours reading the past experience of others before trying a hack and i concluded that i would stay with the "40mbps high reliability" patch with a class 10 from a brand name to avoid any problems but it was not good enough it seems.

update: problem solved my lexar class10 did not work but a sandisk extreme class 6 worked fine : don't buy lexar

again sorry about the multiple posts i thought people in the forum were only reading some specific threads but it seems that users reads all the posts. i will read how to erase my mutiple posts and only leave one. by the way everybody laughs at me saying my problem has answers eveywhere but is is there a thread about "troubleshooting the 40mbs high reliabily patch" ?

if in the step by step guide i followed (http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthrea...tool-hack-quot-GH17-Lenin-quot-(2011-cameras))they mentionned that a sandisk extreme III was required i would have bought it, it only mentions "(class 6 /class 10 recommended)"
