GH1 shows body firmware version "Ver.F.3"

Any ideas? I've tried several of the suggestions in here regarding the "No Valid Picture to Play" message, but to no avail. The camera still says Body Firmware is version F.3.
I bought the camera used and I'm now guessing it's been hacked, or perhaps mis-hacked. With a kit lens (14-42), when shooting stills outdoors, every shot is severely overexposed, regardless of the settings. I can get correct exposure, but only if I'm using a 0.9 neutral density filter ... even in overcast skies. Even then, sometimes the bottom 1/3 of the shot is pretty severely washed out with overexposure. All this happens regardless of the still mode - automatic to fully manual.
If I use a Minolta lens (from a film 35mm) w/ a m4/3 adapter, I don't seem to have the problem and can shoot outdoors without a filter.
The interesting thing (and what makes me think it's the result of a hack and not a defective kit lens or camera hardware) is that, with either lens, motion picture comes out just fine, with no overexposure or bottom 1/3 wash-out.
So, I'm hoping to try to go back to the latest factory firmware then apply an appropriate hack from here.
Any ideas?

I don't think anyone has any experience with your issue. Version F.3 display is very weird. Here are some suggestions: 1) Use the latest Ptool and only click the version increment and use some larger numbers to see if the camera installs the firmware to get it back to displaying correctly. Recall that in order to install firmware use Panasonic legit battery fully charged. 2) Try to Reset the camera from the Settings Menu (not likely to solve your problem). 3) Overexposure with the Panny lens may mean the camera is damaged... Yup, that's my bet. I've seen it with higher version increments. You could use a value of 20 and increment it by 10 as long as it doesn't work. Be sure to check the "Reset Version" option if you are (about) to reach the highest possible increment.
Anyone else could check what version increment it would take to get to the F. This would save you from trying.
