First I was about to test grading performance between 720p and 1080p footage, but I noticed the 720p footage was less sharp than 1080i when playing back on my laptop screen (720p).
So I edited quickly a short video in Vegas to put those footages side to side. Before importing the 1080 part I transcoded it with handbrake to 720.
Here's the result. I think the difference is quite noticeable even on vimeo.
First I was thinking to shoot in 720p in the camera since it's for web purpose and to get the easy 50% slow mow. But now I think I should use 1080 (i or p).
This might have been discuted already... Am I wrong somewhere or it is just normal ?
