GH1 Shipping Today! According to Panasonic Sales Rep

wooow i called again and this time the lady was nice and all but then she said that she had no idea when mine was going to be shipped but panasonic would start shipping out the cameras during the first week of september... wth piss me off... -.- gosh if that happens im gonna go mad

I can confirm that this worked for me also. I went to bing.com, selected jr.com from their list of stores and ordered the camera for $1499, no tax (I'm in CA) & free shipping. The cashback didn't show up on bing for a couple of days, but their responsive customer support fixed it rightaway. I now have a $180 credit there, like others have reported here. In total, between saving the sales tax that I would have had to pay had I ordered through PD, and the bing cashback, I saved about $320. That's plenty of savings for me to make it worth the wait!

omg im happy for you man XD i wish mine would come some time soon. i wrote panasonic a five paragraph letter telling them of my troubles and all the problems i had in hopes of getting my camera shipped faster XD well we'll see how that turns out sooner or later

I ordered mine from Panasonic Direct a couple days ago. Hasn't shipped yet, but I am hopeful something might happen next week. I talked to a nice woman who said they just ran out of them but more are on the way. She also said that they are giving individuals priority over stores.
 
as expected, received mine today....haven't played with it much. Battery is still charging. The body itself is very light but once you attach the lens it seems like all the weight going up front.
 
i ordered my camera from Panasonic direct (phone) about 4 days ago, i just called in to ask when it should arrive, and they said it should arrive on the 28th of this month.

how accurate are there estimates/dates? will my camera actually come on the 28th?
 
Mine is in delivery to Finland at the moment, should arrive in a few days. Ordered from Pixmania. Their website says its in stock now.
 
mine was supposedly supposed to ship out today so i called panasonic and now im on hold... XD cant wait if they say its going to ship today
 
WOOOOO they said the cameras were supposed to show up in the warehouse today so if it does it will ship out XD yayyyyyy but since its still early (10am) they are not too sure if it will arrive... awwwww but my hopes r up ill call back in a few hours

That is good news! I am hoping they do come in. I also hope they send out cameras to those of us in this forum who are eagerly awaiting our cameras. :)

Does anyone have news from J&R orders?? I am in Costa Rica and can't make internacional phone calls every week. (ordered at J&R to have it shipped to a relative in Washigton DC, will be traveling to DC September 15 so I need to be sure I will have it by then)
