GH1 Shipping Today! According to Panasonic Sales Rep

I am guessing most of the masonjersey cameras are getting into the hands of their new owners. Mine arrived yesterday afternoon - I have a shoot with it tonight - literally came up at the last possible moment - sadly not a paying gig but something for a singer/songwriter friend - a music video to showcase his talents - he's moving back to Nashville Sunday and tonight was the only night we could shoot after I had the brilliant (or is that insane) idea to do this before he leaves California. Haven't slapped together a production this fast in - well, ever. Will be using some of Illya Freidman's Hot Rod gear - he is a totally stand-up guy and I can't wait to use the rig. More about all of this later (and links to footage if it's worth sharing!!!!).
 
Found a stash of GH1's, ordered yesterday and delivered today. Please remember that I provided this lead when I ask a lot of dumb questions in the coming weeks. Crutchfield has them but just not on their site yet. They had over 40 Wednesday. Just call and ask, Andy at 1-800-388-2911, extension 3161 help me via chat to find it. Best of luck to anyone that needs one.

FYI, His voicemail picked up with a message from Thursday, he won't be back in until Tuesday.
 
You should be able to try anyone there, they just have to look it up. He was able to send me a link to it even though it was not listed on web. All the Customer Service people were quite helpful. Sales is available via chat also. Never had used them before was quite impressed.

just ordered mine from Crutchfield with next day delivery :) I'm leaving for Kenya next week, I had lost hope I would have it for the trip. Now i will. I'm amazed :)!
The person I talked to on the Phone was amazed that people already knew about them having it in stock.

I'm not too worried. They do hundreds, if not thousands, of orders a day...so 40 is nothing. 40 for the same item? Well...I doubled back into the chat after I placed my order and had her make sure I secured one!

I had a small panic attack too. Order went through and I got a confirmation email. So I went to check the status and the order's on hold because they need to confirm info with my bank. Anyway, they said the camera should be held/reserved in my name, so hopefully all is good. :undecided

Realistically having any number of the show up on eBay like that was a sign that distribution was finally starting to happen. Obviously had I known Crutchfield was going to get a large un-reserved shipment I wouldn't have done the eBay thing. But I don't think I was stupid getting the camera I wanted, now, at a price I could manage.

The good thing about having an increasing number of them out in the world is other companies will support them more. I've been trying to get Neoscene to convert the .MTS files with no luck at all (must be something about my computer/what's installed). The more of them out there, the better things will be.

Congrats on everyone getting one from Crutchfield.
