I think you've mis-read dojoman.... henry's is NOT getting any gh1's.... prob not until late august, early sept.

I thought people pre ordered from Henry's got theirs? None of Amazon, JR, BH preorders have been filled not even one. So why is Henry's getting a few here and there? I don't want to order from them, $1700 is out of the question and warranty issue.

Henrys got a first batch back in june, i think 25 units, but so did vistek etc etc. Henrys hasnt had any since as far as I know, or I'd have mine by now. They are on backorder like everyone else. Yes the canadian price sucks, but it's worth getting one close to home. Plus, the henry's customer service is second to none.

So no worries dojoman, noones jumping in line ahead of you.

How embarrassing is that -- they totally uesd a CANON lens in their MARKETING PHOTO! If they can't get that straight, no wonder they're having so many order fulfillment problems.

Except for me, cause by weird forum logic the less posts you have the more magic fairy dust your backorder has sprinkled on it.

I say a free gh1 to all posters in this forum for such a headache! Whatdya say panny... panny... hello??? are you still there?

What warranty issue? You send the camera to Canada. BFD. It's not like you're sending to Afghanistan.

I'm going to have to start wearing a diaper when viewing this forum. :D I peed myself again. This stuff is good! Lightens the mood a bit too. Thanks for that!

if we keep this up- this thread could go down in DVX history like Edweirdo's "Yes I'm afraid I have another adapter" in the 35mm adapter section. we're only halfway there---unfortunately, it will probably be another 600 or so posts of finger pointing (especially the middle one to Mr. Panny himself)...

Let's hope at least the latter portion of 3-400 or so posts are more like..."YES, I got my GH1!!"

...."finally it's in!!!"

..."oh boy, it's just as I imagined it would be"...

....-now Ralphy, be careful with that thing, you're gonna shoot your eye out!!

My favourite part is just the title....thats like...the most ironic part.

quite crafty on Super8's part, I'm pretty sure beneath the surface of all this shipment hoopla, Super8 had a bigger vision........to conquer Edweirdo's historic thread!!

Think about it, look at that title..."GH1 Shipping today...."

I mean, that's what sucked me into this ....vortex of triumphs of few...and shattered dreams of many...oh so many.

I believe that Super8 is somehow connected to the bigger picture of things...sitting in a room with Mr. Panny, Dr. Evil, and 1 MEEELLION PANASONIC DMC-GH1's!!!!

We must confront him on this...

New firmware and body upgrade for those on backorder. Alignment, new audio plug is on front lower left. Just send in your old grey market body for free upgrade!

Now WE'RE TALKIN!!!

SWEEEEEET!!!

I'm Loving panny's new take on eco-friendly stabilizers, I don't know...something about them...they have a very earthy look to them. I love em!!!

Really a junior member who got a GH1? Why is that not surprising. Lol. How many seniors ordered first week in June and are being told Aug/Sep? *raises hand*

Grats man. There's lots of other threads for this, look around.
