What a shady move by Adorama. Haha. I was just about to order from there when I saw that post, thanks for clearing that up, Mike.

You said it. When I saw that the red pre-order text had been removed, I ordered it. Now the red text is back: "This is a New Item, Not in stock yet, expecting delivery from Manufacturer."

And guess what - I just got an email from Adorama saying "The item you purchased is on backorder."

Punks.

I didn't post that to say they were shady. Yesterday it showed that it wasn't in stock. When I checked the site today it said it wasn't in stock. So I don't feel duped at all or anything.

EDIT: It could have been a system glitch. Or maybe they received some, but not enough, and the system temporarily showed it as in stock until they allocated it to their orders. I've worked at companies where you take pre-orders for products and these types of things happen. I'm sure they resolved the issue as quickly as possible and the whole situation was without ill intentions.
 
I bet it was a system glitch. The other week, twice. Bestbuy had 5DMII's in every store east to the west coast.. The following day Nothing!


As for the GH1, I can't wait to see one of these. It's very confusing why the USA is so late to receive this product while lots of other places have gotten it in the market....
 
Had to stalk the UPS guy today... but mine is here, and charging! Sweet... Ordered on May 20th from panny direct, next day air, not shopatron'd.
 
Panasonic Direct now says "In Stock" rather than "Shipping in 7-10 Business Days."

Just cancelled my May 7 JR.com preorder and ordered one from Pana Direct. Not Shopatroned, estimated shipping date of today, just like Finster... we'll see. Let's hope that Pana really means In Stock. Will post again with more info when I get it!
 
Yep. Panasonic site showing in stock right now. Let's see how long it takes to go back to 7-10 business days.

lol I called they said they have no idea why I haven't received mine yet. lol I am really losing my hopes here and I am leaving town Friday =/

Paul, I asked them If i placed my order while the system states in stock would I receive my item any quicker and they stated: No, it's on first come first serve bases.

Hope I never buy anything from their webpage again.

Mine was attempted to be delivered this morning, but the order wasn't through Panasonic. :2vrolijk_08:

Cancelled my order with them last week and ordered from Harry's photo in Canada. Ordered it on Thursday and it's already here. Thoroughly impressed with Harry's so far. Not what I can say with Panny's online store. Hopefully they come through with their supposed stock...
 
damn, maybe i should have gone thru harrys too (though i though it was henrys). but i live in texas and was worried about it traveling all the way down here before friday.
