i thought about doing it... but i need my camera for the 26th... and i dont think i could get it here in time for that from canada. at least panasonic is SAYING itll ship the 22nd with next day shipping. if that actually happens....ill be gold.
if it doesn't ship by the 25th i'm going to go down to best buy and reluctantly buy a Canon T1i and cancel my GH1 order. then i'll order a GH1 at a later date when they are easily available and sell my T1i :/
Well if you assume that 1 hr "in stock" message last night was just a glitch, it would make sense. The lady at the 800 number told me that my estimated date to receive it was the 24th and since I ordered next day air, it sounds to me like Panny expects a shipment next week on the 22nd and they plan to get existing orders shipped on the 22nd or 23rd. Maybe we're getting closer to the truth?

Forgive me, what does INT # mean? Are these supposed to be the letters preceding the digits in your order number?

Yes. I have two orders, one with each. I think all cams coming only from panny direct int# not shopatron shtr# eventhough u have a shopatron earlier order. Goofy.
Affirmative. When I ordered yesterday when it showed in stock for an hour, I got an order number INT000xxxxxxx where the xxxxxxx was a 7 digit (presumably sequential) number. My status is currently stuck on "in stock". It's been nearly 24 hours with no update. My guess based on the sparse info we have is still that they expect a batch on the 22nd and they will be shipping on that date or the next day.

I called the number at the bottom of the order status page. They told me they have no idea at all when my order would be shipped. I ordered with Panasonic direct on June 10th, but also pre-ordered with Amazon on May 8th. I'm wondering if Panasonic direct orders will be filled first.

something along the lines like they don't know for sure my delivery date. they are suppose to get a shipment today.
i think if they do get that shipment or whatever, june 22nd is right.

same here. just got shipping confirmation from Panny Direct & UPS.
I paid for 2nd day air, so I should have it by Saturday if Im lucky.
Panasonic really dropped the ball here. I specifically paid for 2nd day
shipping b/c I was PROMISED by a manager and the wharehouse last
week that my order would be going out by the 16th. I needed it by
tomorrow for a shoot, but looks like thats not happening now.
