I got my adapters two weeks ago from china, and I thought the camera was going to come first and the adapters were going to be late. Huh!

That is so true. Yay I'm $1500 in the hole! Oh well, a few ads and this'll pay for itself. I wish I had it today, I had to do a lot of low light work with the DVX. Ugh.

I still haven't received a shipping notice in my email, here's hoping.
 
Nikon to m4/3 and nikon 50mm f1.4 (non(pre)-AI should work..hope it does if not resell) arrived today...GH1 and Ogio Atiba mini are supposed to arrive today also but no UPS yet...usually come at around 4:30 or so PST.
 
Don't know if anyone saw, but on Panasonic's site they are saying that this item is backordered till Sept. 9th. I pre-ordered one from J&R on May 5th. No word.

I'm with 811productions - a fellow May 5 J&R orderer; they have been entirely noncommittal as to when they might ship, although they have said several times that they have a "big delivery on order". This is better than making answers up, I suppose.

Maybe I should look for a GH1 costume for my wife... :undecided
 
My GH1 has arrived! Battery is now charging. My Nikon 50mm, Nikon to m4/3, and Ogio Atiba Mini bag have all arrive today also. I am the happiest little boy in the whole wide world.
 
Congrats Ben! It's about time. I wish I was in your shoes. Still, my status is better than it was four days ago.

You had better post the first shot you take here after all your effort to get one. Pressure is on!
 
So, despite listing my work address twice, the camera was ATTEMPTED to be delivered today to my STUPID APARTMENT! GAAAH! Now I have to wait till monday to pick it up at the gaddamn post office and lose an entire weekend with the sweet love that is GH1 all because they shipped to the wrong address.

Thing that really frustrates me though is that my fiancee was home the entire time and never heard any knock on the door. I told her to get in her car and try to trace down the mail mans route, but, then I realized that was kind of crazy.. I still want her to do it though. .. FLIP! Man this is frustrating. It's just right there, but I can't touch it. BAH!
 
First shot is going to fail hard. Lol. Probably gonna set full auto and take a picture of my foot or something loool.

I have been checking my order since the 23rd of June on PD's website.

All of a sudden today a G1, yes a G1, has been added to my original GH1 order made on the 23rd of June. So now there is a GH1 and G1 in my order..

They charged my account for over 800 bucks for G1 and overnight shipping.. I'm gonna scream.........

I called and spoke to Mark an agent, and a Supervisor Alex. They can't figure out how this even happen. However now Im being shipped a G1

This just adds insult to injury; they can't get me the camera I ordered, and then do this!

I'm F-ing sick of this sh*t with Panasonic Direct.........

Word on the spill is that in order to rectify the damage done to pre-order customers, Panasonic's new shipments are packaged with a coupon for five free psychotherapy sessions.

that is ludicrous. really really bad. they should really compensate you somehow for that error, that's terrible.

The Agent Mark had the nerve to ask me; "are you sure you didn't order a G1 too!" I truly wanted to scream.

I have checked for the past 25 days twice a day that order on PD's site in hopes it would say shipped. I mean, I even set up a case file on this matter. They were no help at the call center; now it's been referred to another division..

I was told to reject the package when it arrives. Now I got to sit around and wait, so UPS doesn't leave this at my door and I get stuck with returning it. It just pisses me off; this corporation just took more of my money and now I have to ask for it back.

This whole situation has been insane and disturbing...

Call your credit card company and dispute the charges. It's up to Panasonic to get their camera back from you. You shouldn't have to wait around just so you can refuse a package. It's their mistake.
