Gh1 NTSC vs PAL issue

Only way a editor could work the way you want is if it only allows cuts to happen at i-frames, which means only a half a second precision when editing. Which is utterly unacceptable to me and most others and I do improve the image quality when I post-process it. But to each their own, good luck.

It may not be appropriate to you, but if you only need to stitch together different MTS files and have no intention of tweaking the video, then use tsMuxer and add clips using the Join option in the sequence that you want and create an M2TS file. The video will be intact, you can add/replace/remove audio too. The program is free and work will finish in seconds. Don't know if program works in Mac.

i've found something that works finally ( i think) - thankgod. Eac3to with a gui (google for yr_eac3to_more_gui). It's absolutely fabulous so far. I've joined 27 files and there's no audio sync problem. It's been a long road. I'll need to add more files - i'll shoot more during the weekend and hope eac3to holds up with even more files to join.
