Hi,
I recently shot a concert using a GH1 (1080) and a DV camera, and I want to edit in FCP (unless you guys tell me it's significantly easier on Avid). I'm going to finish it onto an SD 23.98 DVD, and I've had pretty good success using the Nattress plugin to convert the 29.97 DV footage to 23.98 (not frame-accurate or anything, I know, but it's a concert).
In trying to save time, I was considering editing in 29.97 (with the GH1 footage Logged and Transferred, but not ran through a Reverse Telecine) and then converting the picture-locked sequence to 23.98, and THEN syncing the sound with the raw performance audio captured by the sound booth at the club.
Is there a quick way to 'select all DV (or all GH1) footage' on an FCP timeline?
