I'm around NY and would consider selling mine for quite a bit higher. I like it and don't want to part with it but if someone offered enough I'd let it go since I'm not really big on auto settings and don't care for zooms too much. But 500 is a tad low I've seen used ones sell on this very site for 700-750 and up

Ummm well ipowell just sold his for $490 on ebay, and there will be others who bought the JR $999 Gh1 and kit lens that might want to sell lens and keep a $499 body.

I sure there are plenty of people not using the kit lens and gathering dust.
