GH1 is now discontinued

[AZ Erik]

With the recent EPP and Facebook sales (which the facebook sales never actually could have happened) the GH1 has ben finished off. Those of us that had orders outstanding that didn't get shipping notices (and some of us who did, like myself) will end up with a canceled order if you didn't get it canceled yesterday. I spoke to two reps at Panasonic sales and was told they are out of the GH1 and will not get anymore. It looks like this was a fire sale for left over stock. They had posted the sale info in far to many places as I'm being told they were out of stock before Jan 28th. Those who may have ordered on or after the 28th good luck and godspeed.

What this does for warranties on the ones that were just sold time can only tell.

I placed my order through the Facebook friends link and I got mine a little over a week ago paid $375.00

[AZ Erik]

Interesting as the facebook price should have been $425 and the epp price should have been $375

All GH1 warranties are now officially void. You must purchase an aftermarket warranty plan.

This maybe true for US customers.

But fyi in the EU you have warranties still going as there´s a general minimal warranty of 2 years. Any product bought here has to work or to be repaired/replaced by your reseller within those 2 years after your date of purchase (of course only if you didn´t damage it yourself by non-normal usage etc.).

I disagree. It lasts for 1 year from the purchasing date.

I was just being a jackass. I'm off this weekend for a change...and it's 30 degrees outside in Houston...nothing to do but drink Bud.

I dunno, I have no connection to any other EPP plan, I connected to the link through Facebook and that's the deal I got.

Never mind saw your next posting.

I had an order for two that made it through the cracks somehow.
We just got them in.

Well, it´s 2 years in Germany and following an EU guideline 1999/44/EG (Link, only German, sorry) it should be no less then that. Guidelines have to be realized in each country by itself though, so maybe that´s why in your country it is only 1 year.

well if anyone decides to sell off one or more of these that they got let me know. I was counting on this package. Or if someone happens to want to sell the kit lens I have a line on a GH13 I might pick up local, still not close to this deal by way of bargin.

good now the gh13 can start appreciating and selling for much higher again as it is a classic.
