GH1/GH2 : enable/disable magnifier while filming, possible with a hack ?

Hi everyone,

I've been playing with the Nokton 25mm on a GH1 for a few days, and I was wondering why Pana didn't enable the "MF assist" while filming (could be useful to precisely change focus).

Do specialists here see any technical reason why ? Would it be something very hard (impossible) to enable through hack ?

I understand GH2 owners have the HDMI monitor option, but it means more complex and heavy setups, I also understand it may not be very high in the improvement priority list...

when the object starts aliasing on the screen while u pulling the focus ring
that should indicate the object is comming into focus

+1 Aliasing is the best focusing aid I've found on the GH1/ too

On manual focus lenses it really is truly a gift though, eh?

Thanks for the hint ! I didn't thing about that. I just tried, it's true that helps, but for distant subjects, its harder. I may need to practice, and look for some curves.

The best thing is, we get useful aliasing on the screen, and almost none on the actual footage :thumbsup:
