i own a gh1 which i hav hacked with te tester firmware. I read a lot about people telling the have a 40 mb bitrate now. I've used the ptool and filled in fhd:50000000 overal:52000000. But i do not now how to check the bitrate i now have. I edit on a macbookpro can i view the mts files any other way than to convert them first? I saw that the files were twice as big after the hack but i could not tell howmuch the mb/s is.
Now, if i pull my mts files into fcp i use the log and transfer window,my settings are avhd proress 422 i've got remove puldown option put on.
My footage looks good but the mb/s is the same if i use the standart gh 1 firmware or the gh13 settings i discribed above....
so:
1. how can you tell what the mb/s is from your mts file (on a mac)?
2. is there a way to vieuw the mts files without conversion first (yes on my mac)?
3. how can it be that the mb/s ( imported in fcp)from hacked and non hacket firmware is the same? and whats the use of the hack if it is...
4. Can someone please explain that some people tell me you dont have to remove the pulldown if you shoot 25p?
5. In the ptool menu you can choose the 24/25p option. are those not totaly diffirent things?
6. does anyone know good mpg settings becouse people get rates of 70mb/s with what settings....?
trust me i spent hours and hours on the internet and on this forum i am shore it is here sowewhere but i just could not find it...okay.
