GH1 - Focus confirmation beep issue

On my GH1 I have noticed the Focus Confirmation Beep does not always work. I have the Beep turned on. It seems to have troubles in lighted areas. I still get the "Green" focus indicator in the viewer. I also have Focus Priority turned on and I'm able to take the picture. Just no beep to confirm I'm in focus.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. Not a big problem. Just curious.

Never mind. I found the problem. The camera was accidently in AFC mode. The beep doesn't work according to a footnote on p53 of the manual. I switched it back to AFS and it works fine now.
