GH1 FD Adapter

I was looking at the ciecio7 adapter but I've heard about issues like infinity focus being off, aperture control and trouble mounting lenses on it.
What is the best adapter I could get with the least issues as possible and how could I solve this?
Also, can I mount New FD lenses on a regular FD adapter?

What about aperture control? Do you just attach the lens and turn the aperture ring? And does it needs to be attached for the diaphragm to work?

Yup, just turn it manually. You can push a pin to 'mounted' position but be careful, it's easy to muck it up. If you want to test that it works it's easier just have the end cap on.

Exactly what do you mean by "new FD lenses"? Canon replaced the FD mount with the EF mount in 1990 and these days FD lenses can only be found a second hand items. The EF lenses will not fit on a FD adapter just as they don't fit on a old Canon camera with a FD mount.

I have the Cameraquest/Rayqual adaptor for the FD lenses and the RJ/jinfinance EOS to m4/3rds for my EF mounts--primarily my 45 tilt shift. Both work just fine for infinity focus.

"New FD mount" lenses refer to the last iteration of the FD mount. The FD mount started out as a "breech lock" mount with some minor changes over the years, leading up to the change to the "new FD" mount which is a bayonet style and locks just by rotating the lens onto the mount, rather than setting the lens on the mount, and turning a ring (breech lock) which secures the lens to the body. All FD mount lenses (Breech lock, or "new" fd) work on all FD mounts.

I know this, isn't sure that OP does. Several people owning EF lenses have contacted me and have been angry of my recommendation of the ciecio7 adapter after getting it and discovering it's doesn't work with EF. Hence my question for clarification of what he's asking about. I got both varieties of FD mounts, no problems with either.

Ahh, I see what you're getting at - you are right, from the OPs question, it's not clear and it sounds like he may be confusing "new FD" with the EOS mount. Gotcha!
