GH1 contrast adjustment: tell me I'm crazy!

When I went in and adjusted the "Smooth" preset to try and get less contrast it seemed like something was amiss. It seemed to have less contrast at the +2 setting and more contrast at the -2 setting. Is my camera just backward or am I nuts?

The images below show grabs from the video...all settings were the same except for the two contrast adjustments.

Just look at the overall highs and lows.

i did, but like i said, it's still difficult to tell for me. sorry man.

The main problem with your test is that the brightest part of the image is only 40% in the -2 picture and 32% in the +2 which means you are not checking contrast over the whole 100 - 0% range but just the lower end. And then your result is logical, think about it.

Make yourself something with a full gradiant / grayscale and check with that.
